Welcome

As pastor, I, welcome and thank you for visiting the Gates of Delivereance Holiness Church online. We hope that our website will familiarize you with our church and see the mighty things that the Lord is doing! Please feel free to read more about our church on this site and come and be with us in service. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus and for souls!

Our Mission

The Bible states in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ must be preached! It is the preaching of the gospel that brings salvation, healing and deliverance! it is our goal, as well as, our commandment in the scriptures to deliver this good news! We will preach this gospel, without filter and without theology! We believe the Bible says what it means and means what it says! We will stay with the truth! We are at the most crucial spiritual hour in the history of the world! Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth!

Note from the Pastor

Why does it seem that there is no preaching against sin anymore?

We see a world that is in utter depravity! We see the moral decay of our society on every hand! Pedophilia, pornography, homosexuality, lesbianism, even beastiality are becoming things that are not totally taboo in our culture! Yet, when we go to church we hear messages of faith, prosperity, love, living your dreams, various doctrines, etc..., never, it seems, a message of searching your soul!

Where is the ministry of soul-winning? Where has the cry for the lost went to? We preach that there is a great revival coming! We jump, shout, sing and "have church!" But, where is the old-time preaching that will get next to your soul and cause you to examine yourself! Where is the introspection? Where is the cry of wanting to be like Jesus?

Somewhere we have got to get back to a deep cry within our beings for Him! David said in Psalms 42, "the deep calleth unto the deep!" He stated, "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God, My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God..." Are we thirsting for a relationship with a living God?

What are our souls thirsting for? What does it mean for the soul to thirst? We understand the words, but, what does it mean to thirst for God? The scripture speaks of the deer panting for water! Are we "panting" for Jesus? Is he the main focus in our lives? Do we wake every morning longing to please Him?

We are alive in the time of the megachurch! David plainly tells us that there is a depth beyond going to church! He said, "for I had gone with the multitude, I went to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday!" Yet, his soul was cast down within him!

Where is the cry for "holiness?" Not the holiness of dress, which must be kept, but, the holiness of separation unto Him? "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord!" Where is the fear and reverance for a holy God? "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!" "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you!" Is there no understanding that if we have any of the works of the flesh we, "shall not inherit the kingdom of God!" We must remember, "it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God!"

I believe the we see revival wane in our world because of sin! "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And f thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door!" As an excuse for sin we hear people say, He knows my heart! But, the Bible says. "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Do we know what is in our hearts? John said in his epistle, "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure!" Are we purifying ourselves? Are we following the apostle Paul's instruction? "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves! Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates!" When was the last time we cried as David cried, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be in any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!" Or, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me!" When have we as Ezekiel stated, "that sigh and the cry for all the abominations that be done in teh midst thereof!"

In our haste and longing for a great move of God in our land let us remember, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will FORGIVE THEIR SIN, and will heal their land!" And, "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent!"

Until we get back to the preaching of repentance and dealing with "every weight, and the sin that doeth so easily beset us"..., we will not see the revival we long for!
